In the Shaheed Smriti Local Level National Women's Gold Cup Football Tournament being held in Hetounda, Sankata Club defeated Nav Janajagruti Club Simra and made it to the semi-finals on Saturday.
In a one-sided match, Sankata won 6-1 at Gauritar Stadium. In the 9th minute of the game, Sankat took the lead through Mamata Punmagar's goal. Mamta alone scored 5 goals and Jennifer Rana Magar scored one goal. Mamata has added goals in 21, 35, 67 and injury time to take her personal goal tally to 5. Jennifer scored a goal in the 13th minute.
Rozina Lama from Simra scored a goal in the 79th minute, but it was limited to consolation. Sankataka Mamta who scored 5 goals was the player of the match. She got a trophy with 10,000 rupees. On Sunday, there will be a competition between Nepal Police Club and Rautahat District Women's Team.
The winner of the competition organized by the Makwanpur District Football Association will receive a prize of Rs 5 lakh and the runner-up will receive a prize of Rs 3 lakh.
