All three departmental teams have made it to the semi-finals of the first Lions Cup national and international invitational men's volleyball tournament.

In the last league match organized by Lions International District 325 M Nepal, Army defeated Police in a set of 3-1 at Pokhara Rangshala multi-purpose covered hall. After losing the first set by 25-19, Army made a great comeback and won. Army won the set 25-14, 25-17, 25-21. The Indian team, which scored equal points along with Army and Police, was eliminated on the basis of sets. On the basis of sets and points, from group 'B', the police became the winner and the army became the runner-up and reached the semi-finals.

Earlier, APF and Iranian team from group 'A' have already made it to the semi-finals. The Iranian team advanced as group winners and APF runners-up. Defeated in both the games, Gandaki province was eliminated. The semi-final match will be held on Sunday.
