Kirtipur defeated Samakhushi Youth Club by a score of 84-59 in the Himalayan Java Basketball League (HJBL) on Saturday.

At Kirtipur Covered Hall, the home team trailed in the first quarter but made a comeback in the second quarter. Although Samakhusi was in their favor in the third quarter, Kirtipur won the game with a wide lead in the fourth and last quarter.

Samakhushi took the lead 12-10. In the second quarter, Kirtipur made a comeback to make it 24-12. In the third quarter, Samakhusi scored 29-25 in their favor, but Kirtipur won the game after leading 25-6 in the fourth quarter. Sayun Rai from Kirtipur became the most valuable player.

On Saturday, Hounds Academy beat Royals 87-78. The Hounds led the first quarter 21-14. The Royals came back and beat the Hounds in the second quarter 26-22 in their favor. After that, the Hounds won the game with 24-19 in the third and 20-19 in the fourth quarter. Vijay Burja became the Most Valuable Player. Sunday Times and Goldengate College will compete in the

league.
