Rajveer Pradhan reached the men's singles semi-finals of the 11th Citizens Bank Tennis Tournament on Wednesday. Rajveer defeated Nepal number one Pradeep Khadka in straight sets 6-4, 7-5. Aravsamrat Hada defeated Saksham Vikram Shah 6-2, 6-1, Nishan Shrestha defeated Pranab Khanal 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 and Nihaljung Thapa defeated Pritam Pariyar 6-2, 6-1 to reach the semifinals.
In women's singles, Abhilasha Bishta defeated Samriddhi Maharjan 6-2, 6-0, Jenny Khadka defeated Prakriti Shrestha 6-2, 6-0, Aisha Dolkar Lama defeated Karmistha Nugah Shrestha 7-6, 6-3 and Swastika Bishta defeated Sunira Thapa 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 to reach the semifinals.
Veterans Jitendra Periyar, Simant Gurung, Bhishmanjung Gurung and Santosh Khatri secured their place in the semi-finals of the tournament organized by the Kathmandu District Tennis Association and the main sponsor of Citizens Bank. In men's doubles over 45 years, the pair of Kamal Bahadur Bhandari and Sumit Mainali defeated the pair of Degendra Shrestha and Mahesh Shrestha by 5-7, 6-3, 10-7. Victor Rana, Dhruv Bahadur Gurung, Uttam Bogti and Bimal Kumar Gurung reached the semi-finals in the men's singles for veterans over 65 years. Manoj Vikram Shah, Chandra Shahi, Kamal Bahadur Bhandari and Mahesh Shrestha made it to the semi-finals in men's singles over 55 years.
In mixed doubles, the pair of Abhilasha and Aravsamrat defeated the pair of Indrakala Shrestha and Harsingh Dhami in straight sets 6-0, 6-1 and made it to the semi-finals.
