Bagchaur municipality has won the title of the inter-municipal level T-20 cricket tournament which has been going on since May 6 at the playground of Tribhuvan Jan Secondary School in Sharda municipality-2 Luhaping.
Bagchaur, who has been undefeated in 9 consecutive matches since the league stage, won the title by defeating Kumakh Rural Municipality by 4 wickets in the final match.
Bagchaur, who won the toss, chose to field in the final match, while Kumakh Rural Municipality batted first. According to Savin Kumar Hamal, President of District Cricket Association Salyan, Kumakh Rural Municipality scored 127 runs losing 7 wickets in scheduled 20 overs.
Bagchaur, who went into batting in response, accomplished his goal in 17 overs, losing 6 wickets. President Hamal said that Bagchaur Municipality won a prize of one lakh and Kumakh Rural Municipality was second and received a prize of 50,000 after winning the title in the inter-municipal T-20 cricket tournament organized by Sharda Municipality and coordinated by the District Cricket Association.
In the match held on Friday, Bagchaur defeated Sharda municipality and Kumakh defeated Triveni rural municipality to enter the final match. Bagchaur won the title of the inter-municipal level T-20 cricket tournament last year as well.
