Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya shone with bat and ball as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets on Sunday to climb to the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket.

 

While chasing the target of 163 runs, RCB scored 26 runs and lost 3 wickets. After Virat Kohli and Pandya shared 119 runs for the fourth wicket, RCB scored 165 runs in 9 balls at Delhi's home ground. 

Delhi-born Kohli scored 51 runs. Debrehate Pandya scored an unbeaten 73 off 47 balls. Player of the match Pandya, who took 1 wicket after spending only 28 runs in 4 overs, hit 5 fours and 4 sixes. RCB got their seventh win in 10 matches. RCB has won the sixth consecutive victory outside the home ground. 

Kohli, who is looking for his first IPL title in his playing career, hit 4 fours in 47 balls. Tim Debide played 5 balls and hit 3 fours and 1 six and remained unbeaten on 19 runs. He hit all these boundaries off Mukesh Kumar. Delhi captain Akshar Patel took 2 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.

Delhi batting first scored 162 runs after losing 8 wickets. After Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs and Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs, Delhi's innings collapsed. This Dayal also took 1 wicket.

KL Rahul played 39 balls and scored 41 runs by hitting 3 fours. Tristan Stubbs hit 34 off 18 balls with 5 fours and 1 six, Abhishek Porel hit 2 fours and a six off 11 balls with 28, Faf du Plessis 22 off 26 balls and Patel got out for 15 runs off 13 balls. Delhi is fourth with 12 points. 

Mumbai's fifth win in a row

Mumbai / Mumbai Indians, who are in a rhythm, continued their winning streak and scored an easy 54-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the first match on Sunday. It was also Mumbai's fifth win in a row and it was tied against Lucknow.

Mumbai batted first and scored 215 runs for seven wickets. In reply, Lucknow scored 161 runs and got bowled out. Jasprit Bumrah played a key role in sealing Lucknow cheaply. He took four wickets for just 22 runs. Similarly, Trent Boult took three wickets and Will Jack took two wickets.

Mitchell Marsh's 34 was the highest individual score for Lucknow. Before that, Ryan Rickelton scored 58 runs and Suryakumar Yadav scored 54 runs for Mumbai. At the same time, Yadav topped the list of highest run scorers in this tournament. With his third fifty this time, he has crossed the 400 run mark.
