Arjun Kulung Rai of Solukhumbu has won the title of Kanchenjunga Adventure Half Marathon competition organized on the occasion of Sirijunga Festival. He won the title by completing the prescribed distance in 2 hours 6 minutes 25 seconds and won the prize of 2 lakh 8 thousand 500 rupees.

His main competitor was Dheeraj Bahadur Budha of Jumla. Being only 21 seconds late, he had to settle for 1 lakh 8 thousand 500. The old man covered the prescribed distance in two hours six minutes and 46 seconds. Their competition to kiss the ribbon kept the audience interesting. 

According to Nikki Nembang, coordinator of the marathon management committee, Bibisan Limbu of Taplejung, who crossed the set distance in two hours, ten minutes and eleven seconds, came third. He  Got Rs 58,500. Runners from fourth to tenth who participated in the competition received a cash prize of 8 thousand 500 rupees as an incentive. According to Chitrakumar Mavo Limbu, the coordinator of the main organizing committee of the

festival and the vice president of Sirijunga Rural Municipality, 8 thousand 586 rupees were given in all prizes. This is the height of Kanchanjunga Himal . 

It started from May 13th and ended on May 15th in the project of Sirijanga Rural Municipality . The base camp of Kanchenjunga Himal was made at a place called New Jhoreni in Yamfudin. The winner of the competition was encouraged by the Minister of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Koshi Province. Sports, literature, etc. programs were held in the festival.
