Nepal has won the gold medal in the U-19 boys team event of the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Tournament.

The Nepali team won the tournament with 5 countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives including Nepal with the highest score of 7 points. Pravesh Basnet, Gananjay Dahal, Himal Bista and Rubin Maharjan competed from Nepal. Bangladesh and Pakistan came third.

Nepal came second in the U-19 girls team event of the tournament organized by the All Nepal Table Tennis Association. Nepal scored 7 points. Ivana Thapa, Vianka Rai, Yoongi Paudel and Dia Deula played . India came first with 8 points. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh came third. Maldives was the fifth country participating in this event.

Both U-19 Boys/Girls Nepalese teams have been selected for Asian Junior Table Tennis to be held in Uzbekistan, according to the organizer. In the U-19 Boys/Girls team event, the first and second teams will be selected for Asian Junior Table Tennis.

The Nepali team consisting of Prazil Bhattarai, Jaysnu Maharjan, Aryan Shahi and Rijan Shakya came second in the U-15 boys team event held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lanchaur. India ranked first and Sri Lanka and Pakistan ranked third. In the girls of the same competition, India came first, Sri Lanka second and Nepal and Maldives third. Shubhashree Shrestha, Prajina Maharjan, Suramya Shakya and Shreya Shakya played from Nepal.
