5 athletes from Nepal are going to Osaka, Japan on Thursday to compete in the 21st edition of WATA (WTA) International Taekwondo Championship.

In the tournament which will be held from April 25 to 27, the players will compete in Garogi and Poomsey competitions. Hridayani Basnet under 30 kg, Jolina Basnet under 34 kg, Sohan Pathak under 24 kg, Saksham Shrestha in U-12 single poomsae and Ashray Upadhyay in U-14 single poomsae. The trainer is Saroj Tamang. Kajal Shrestha, the gold winner of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG), will play the role of judge in the competition. Kajal was also the judge in the 20th edition of this competition. Bhan Bahadur Chand, Member of National Sports Council (Rakhep) Executive Committee, Nanda Basyal, member of Rakhep and others bid farewell to the

team.
