Nepal Police Club reached the finals of the first Lumbini Cup Invitational Women's Football Tournament by defeating their departmental rival Tribhuvan Army Club in sudden death. In the first semi-final at the Nepalgunj Stadium on Tuesday, Police won the tiebreaker 6-5.

After 1-1 goal at the scheduled time, the game was decided by penalty shootout. The match went to sudden death after the early penalty shootout was tied 4-4. Revika Pandey, Usha Nath, Niru Thapa, Sushma Tamang, Anushka Sherpa and Amrita Jaisi scored from Police in the penalty.

Monica Pulami Magar and Meena Deuba's shots were saved by Army goalkeeper Kopila Khadka, but Samiksha Ghimire's shot was deflected. Tulsa Bohra, Hima Chaudhary, Sapna Lama, Vimala Bik and Sukharia Sukkhu scored goals from Army. Anchali Waiba, Sunita Choudhary and Indira Rai hit goalkeeper Usha and Chandra Bhandari's shot went out. Usha became the player of the match. 

In the 28th minute of the game, Meena Deuba scored a goal for Police to take the lead. Amrita Jaisi's free kick was not well controlled by goalkeeper Kopila and Meena converted the ball from near the post. Tulsa Bohra scored in the 80th minute to bring the Army level.

Substitute Tulsa scored a great goal with a free kick. Army get a free kick after being handled by Sahara Limbu.
