An 11-member Nepali team including 6 players went to Bangkok, Thailand on Tuesday to participate in the Asian Judo Championship.
3 male/female players from Nepal will participate in the tournament to be held from April 25 to 28. Men's under 60 kg Vikas Bik, under 66 kg Special Bik and under 90 kg Bipin Tamang will compete. In domestic competitions, Vikas plays for Police, Special APF and Vipin Army Club. Women under 52 kg Devkimaya Shrestha, under 57 kg Manita Shrestha Pradhan and under 70 kg Ranjana Khadka will participate. Devaki Bandi Syada Niog (PAM), Manita Police and Ranjana are APF players. Manita, who has played in the Olympics, is also a product of Pam.
