The organizer Madan Bhandari Sports Academy 'A' has lifted the trophy after winning 11 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals in the invited national taekwondo competition.
Dhalku Taekwondo Dojang came second with 4 gold and 4 silver. Butwal, which came third, won 2 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze. The top three teams received prizes of 1 lakh, 60 thousand and 30 thousand rupees respectively.
Prajjwal Paudel of Swayambhu and Vipina Tamang of the organizers were declared the best players in the competition held at Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwar. Both were awarded Rs.5,000.
In the two-day tournament, 479 players competed in 36 events in Garogi and Poomsae, according to Manoj Khadgi, the tournament coordinator.
