Narayan Sports Club of Kanchanpur and Youth of Tikapur will compete for the title in the finals of the Senior Sanskar Cricket Tournament being conducted at Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.
In the first semi-final held on Monday, Narayan Sports Club of Kanchanpur defeated Nepal Western Academy Dhangadhi by 4 wickets and qualified for the final. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Narayan Sports Club scored 214 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Pursuing a target of 215 runs, Nepal Western Academy was bowled out in 17.5 overs and reached 119 runs.
Youth of Tikapur entered the final by defeating Doti of Sayal Rural Municipality in the other semi-final which was completed on Monday. Youth of Tikapur completed the target of 106 runs given by Sayal in 15.3 balls and confirmed the place for the finals. The final match of the competition will be held on Tuesday.
Lokendra Chand, the captain of Narayan Sports Club, claimed that the victory was assured because he had experienced players in his team. He said that his team will perform well in both bowling and batting. Similarly, the captain of Youth of Tikapur Dikendra Shah claims that the victory is certain because the bowling of his team's players was tight from the beginning. He says that his team is strong because the batting is also improving. The
competition started from Chait 30 with the participation of 13 teams from Kailali and Kanchanpur. Chairman of the organizing committee Ramchandra Shahi said that the first team will be given 111 thousand 111 and 55 thousand 555 cash prize and trophy will be given to the runner-up.
