National Skateboarding: Khushi, Gajendra and Abhishek Champions

Khushi Bik, Gajendra Bardeva and Abhishek Pariyar have won their respective categories of the 8th National Skateboard Championship. In the championship organized by the Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association, the women became the happy winner in the open category. Lemon Magar was second and Samiksha Rai was third.

In open men's category, Gajendra won first, Sharad Rai won second and Vasant Rai won third. Abhishek stood first, Ankit Bick stood second and Avinash Kumal stood third in men's junior category.

Open winner gets 25,000, second gets 20,000 and third gets 15,000,  The junior winner got Rs 10,000, the second got Rs 5 and the third got Rs 3,000. Satya Thapa, general secretary of the organizing association said.

Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association President Achyut Khanal, coach Dilipraj Baral and others awarded the winning athletes.

On Saturday, National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanklal Ghisingh while inaugurating the tournament asked the athletes to prepare by winning games in the Olympics.
