The main project of Nuwakot District Sports Development Committee and Nuwakot District Football Association is going to be held next week Bagmati Province Chief Minister's Cup National Women's Football Tournament.
Eight teams including three departmental teams will participate in the tournament, which will be sponsored by Bagmati Province Sports Council and Vidur Municipality. Chairman of Nuwakot District Sports Development Committee, Vijay Gurung informed that the competition to be held from 13th to 20th of Baisakh at Nuwakot Adarsh Versatile Campus ground in Battar, the winner will get Rs.5 lakh and the runner-up will get Rs.250,000. The player of the match and best player of each category will be awarded. The participation of APF, Tribhuvan Army, Nepal Police Club, Sankata Club, Gandaki Pradesh Association, Rautahat, Padma Sports Team has been confirmed in the
competition. It is said that one team will be decided in a few days. Chairman Gurung also said that a temporary parapet will be constructed for
viewers. Nuwakot District Football Association President Devnarayan Chitrakar said that the association will provide technical support for the tournament.
Chief Minister's Cup Badminton also
Bagmati Province Chief Minister's Cup National Badminton Tournament will be held in Nuwakot next week. Organized by the Nuwakot District Sports Development Committee, the tournament will be held on May 13-15 and the top 20 ranked players will compete in men's doubles, veterans above 40 years, men's doubles (district), men's doubles outside the district, U-15 girls and boys and mixed doubles (above 35 years).
Bagmati Province Sports Council and Vidur Municipality will sponsor the tournament and Nepal Badminton will have intensive technical support. Nuwakot District Badminton Association is co-hosting the tournament, Colony Badminton Group is supporting.
