Lucky Chaudhary and Sushma Tamang have won gold medals in the first para judo competition. Lucky defeated Prashant Chaudhary in the men's under 60kg final. Kshitij Thagunna was third.
Sushma defeated Vipana Pun in the women's under 52 kg final. Bhavani Shrestha was third. The competition was jointly organized by Nepal Deaf and Blind Para Judo Association along with NECOS and National Judo Association.
Lucky and Sushma, who were first in their respective competitions, have been selected for the Deaf Olympics to be held in Japan in November, according to the Senior Vice President of the Nepal Deaf and Blind Para Judo Association, Dharma Kumar Shrestha.
