Kolkata Knight Riders started to dream after bowling out Punjab Kings for 111 runs within 16 overs on Tuesday. If Punjab's score is put aside, Kolkata have climbed to the top of Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket.
However, that remained only a dream for Kolkata. Kolkata were bowled out for 95 runs in 15.1 overs in Mullanpur after Punjab's Yuzvendra Chahal and Marco Jansen's brilliant bowling. This match recorded the record for the lowest score in IPL history.
After Chahal's 4 wickets, Kolkata reached 79-8 in 13 overs. After Andre Russell hit Chahal for 2 sixes and 1 four in the 14th over, Kolkata needed 17 runs off 36 balls to win. Arsdeep Singh caught Vaibhav Arora behind the wicket in the last ball of the 15th over while keeping the Maiden wicket over. On the first ball of the 16th over, Jansen bowled Russell on the inside edge to give Punjab a sensational victory.

Captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed on the first ball, Josh English on 2, Maxwell on 7 and Suryansh Sage on 4 runs.
From Kolkata, Rana took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs.
Varun Chakraborty scored 21 in 4 overs and Narine spent 14 runs in 3 overs for 2-2 and Arora and Enrich Nokia took 1-1 wickets. With their fourth win in six matches, Punjab has moved up to the fourth position. The top five teams have 8 points. Kolkata is sixth with 6 points.
