The 8th National Skateboard Competition is going to be held on 5th and 6th of Baisakh in the joint project of Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association and National Sports Council.
Organized by Nepal Skating and Skateboarding, the two-day competition will be held at Skaters Nepal Skate Park in Tokha municipality. 250 male and 150 female contestants will take part, president of the association Achyut Khanal said. It is said that the players were selected from all the seven provinces and included in the competition.
The qualifying round will be held on May 5 and the final round will be held on May 6. The best trick and best run category will be played in the free-style category under the skateboarding competition. The association has already completed national skateboard competitions at different places in Biratnagar, Butwal, Pokhara and Kathmandu.
For men and women, the winner will receive 25,000, the second will receive 20,000 and the third will receive 15,000. Rakhep, who is the organizer, will arrange the awards, medals and trophies, the association said.
