In the first Elite Volleyball Cup, Parbat became the champion for men and the host elite volleyball team for women. In the finals of the competition organized by Elite Volleyball Academy in Pokhara Metropolitan City-3 Nadipur on Monday, Parbat and the host Elite became the winners.

Aruna Shahi, national volleyball team captain and tournament coordinator, informed that Parbat defeated Pyramid Construction Hong Kong in a set of 3-1. Parbat won the first set 26-24 and the second set 25-21 in their favor and handed over the third set 17-25 to Pyramid Construction. Parbat won the title by winning 25-22 in the fourth set. Along with the title, Parbat got Rs 1 lakh, runner-up Pyramid got a trophy and certificate with Rs 50,000.

On the women's side, the host team Elite Volleyball won the title by defeating Baglung municipality in straight sets 3-0. Elite Volleyball easily won 25-22 in the first set, 25-16 in the second set and 25-16 in the third set. Champion Elite Volleyball won the trophy with 50,000 rupees. Baglung municipality, the runner-up, received a trophy with 25,000 rupees.

Sanjuvikram Shah on the men's side and Meena Sunar on the women's side were declared the best players. On the men's side, Resham Chantyal was declared the best server, Vivash Ale as the best server, Sugam Vick as the best blocker, Santosh Vick as the best spiker and Jit Bahadur Sarki as the best defender. On the women's side, Ricjana Bote was the best server, Rebina Gharti was the best setter,  Vishnu Chhetri became the best blocker, Soing Thapa the best spiker and Kajal Shrestha the best defender. The best male player received Rs 5,000, the best female player received Rs 3,000, the best male player received Rs 2,000 and the female player received Rs 1,500. 14 men's and 8 women's teams participated in the

competition.
