The Nepali National Women's Cricket Team has come to Bhairahawa for closed training. The team that came to Rupandehi on Saturday evening came here for the second round of training. Closed training is underway to prepare for the World Cup Asia qualifiers to be held in May.
According to the program of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Asian region qualifying match will be held in Thailand in May. As a preparation for this, the first phase of closed training has already been done. Vinod Kumar Das, cricket operation manager of Nepal Cricket Association, said closed training was started in Bhairahawa in the second phase.
When the 26-member women's cricket team arrived in Bhairahawa, sports fans welcomed them and their presence increased the dignity of Siddharth Cricket Ground, said Niraj Pratap Khan, Treasurer of Rupandehi Cricket Association. The training of the said team will continue from today till May 17. After this closed training, the Nepali team will leave for Thailand.
The national women's cricket team under the captaincy of Indu Verma will train in Bhairahawa for 18 days.
