By ignoring Yayin Kiran Rai's century, Nepal U-19 won the ACC U-19 World Cup Asia Qualifier by 5 runs against UAE U-19 using the Duckworth Lewis method.

Rai's unbeaten 104 runs with a target of 201 runs, UAE lost 7 wickets in 36 overs scored 171 runs, the match was stopped due to normal rain and dim light, while Nepal was leading by 5 runs in the Duckworth Lewis method .

2 balls before the game was halted, Santosh Yadav's lbw dismissal of Karan Dhiman for 15 runs became Nepal's decisive turning point in the game, which took Nepal ahead of UAE in the Duckworth Lewis method . By then it was 5.35 in the evening . After 20 minutes, the umpires said that no more matches could be played, and the result was in favor of Nepal .

Rai tried to take the game away from Nepal by hitting 8 fours and 5 sixes in an innings of 96 balls. Nepal dismissed both openers Aion Misbah (4) and Akshat Rai (0) in the first over, but Kiran Rai and Ryan Khan shared 75 runs in 16 overs for the third wicket. Ryan played 51 balls and scored 35 runs by hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Santosh and Ashok Dhami took 2 wickets each from Nepal. Santosh spent 23 with 1 maiden in 8 overs and Ashok spent 27 runs with 1 maiden in 8 overs . Abhishek Tiwari and captain Naren Bhatt took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, after losing the toss in Narine's half-century, Nepal came into bat and scored 200 runs by losing 9 wickets in a game shortened to 40 overs. Narine scored 67 runs in the first international match played at Moolpani Cricket Stadium. He played 75 balls and hit 7 fours . Sahil Patel and Niraj Kumar Yadav scored 32 runs in 8 overs to give Nepal a moderate start.

Niraj played 24 balls and hit 3 fours and got out for 18 runs. Sahil played 54 balls and scored 32 runs by hitting 4 fours. Santosh Yadav 11, Roshan Vishwakarma 4, Abhishek Tiwari 1, Darsh Sonar 5 and Aparajit Paudel got out for nil. Dilshad Ali scored 34 runs with 1 six off 40 balls.
