Trinity Youth Club Walling has won the title of the first Deputy Mayor's Cup Knockout Football Tournament held in Butwal. He won the title by defeating Rising Star Club Kapilvastu 1-0 in the final match on Saturday.
Yashoda Shahi of Trinity Youth Club Walling scored the decisive goal in the match. As the first half ended in a goalless draw, Shahi scored a goal for the team in the 22nd minute of the second half. Kapilvastu missed good opportunities and could not score any goals.
The player of the match of the final game was Yashoda Shahi, the scorer of Trinity club. The winner of the tournament, Trinity Youth Club Walling, received 1 lakh rupees, cup, medal, certificate, while the runner-up Rising Star Club received 50,000 rupees. Simran Rai of Trinity Youth Club Walling was the best player in the
competition. She received 25,000 and a medal. Also Best Goalkeeper Rising Star Club, Sunayana Chaudhary of Kapilvastuki, West Forward Poornima Rai of Trinity Club Walling, West Defense Rising Star Dhana Bohora, Best Coach Trinity Youth Club Dilip Thapa was declared. They each received 10,000 rupees.
In the competition organized by twenty seventy-five youth clubs, organizers twenty seventy-five youth families, Sunwal Municipality, Virganj Youth Academy, Vasant United Club Chitwan, Hetaunda Football Academy, Rising Star Youth Club Kapilvastu, Trinity Club 8 teams including Walling, MSc India participated.
