The second edition of women's golf tournament will be held at Royal Nepal Golf Club (RNGC) on Saturday. It was informed in a press conference on Friday that 62 women golfers will participate in the tournament in stableford format. In the tournament, players will compete in women's open, senior, super senior and U-19 categories.
The winner of the Women's Open will receive a gift voucher from Electric Scooter and Arcia Boutique. Winners and runners-up of other categories will be awarded trophies and gift hampers. Other awards include Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, Most Birdies, Strongest Drive, Best Front Nine, Best Back Nine, Best Sportsmanship and Lucky Winner.
Arsia Banu, the main organizer and lady captain of RNGC, said that the participation of women players from all over the country was a matter of pride. Co-organizer and former national women's golfer Pratima Sherpa said she was happy to continue the tournament. This is an open competition and 86-year-old Dr. It is a matter of pride for us to have an inspiring personality like Rita Thapa participate," said Pratima.
Saritasree Gyawali, another co-organizer, said that this program was organized by women, targeting women. Actress Manisha Koirala will be the chief guest. Nepal Golf Association will also support the tournament. After the first day of competition, the top 10 players will play the second and final round of 18 holes.
