Nepal U-19 has achieved success in the third youth ODI against Afghanistan U-19. Nepal defeated Afghanistan by 85 runs based on the Duckworth-Lewis method at Moolpani Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
After Afghanistan U-19 won the toss, Nepal U-19, who were invited to bat, played only 44.5 overs and were bowled out for 191 runs. Afghanistan U-19 who came to Jaffa lost 6 wickets and scored 46 runs in 20.1 overs, but the game was affected by rain. As no more games were played, Nepal was ahead by Duckworth Lewis.
Although Afghanistan had won the series by 130 runs and 1 run in the first two matches respectively. These two played this series during the preparations for the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia Qualifier, which will start from Sunday.
Nepal could not take advantage of the start that Sahil Patel and Niraj Kumar Yadav gave. These two added 83 runs in the 15th over and gave Nepal a great start. This partnership was broken when Niraj was dismissed for 42 runs. He played 47 balls and hit 6 fours and 1 six.
Sahil scored 46 runs by hitting 4 fours and 1 six in 62 balls.
