Thecho Dojo became the team champion in the Shahid Sagar Singh and Gyan Bahadur Shahi Memorial Karate Tournament by winning the most 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Naraharipur Dojo came second in the competition organized by Nepal Sitoryo Karate Do Sangha Prabhapokhari Dojo with the support of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality. Narharipur won 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Nagesh Dojo won 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
Mohan Majhi of organizer Prayagpokhari Dojo and Suyogi Gurung of Bhaktapur municipality were declared the best players in the men's competition held at Patan Durbar Square. Ayush Lama of Thimi Dojo for men and Anna Tamang of Banglamukhi Dojo for women were selected as emerging players.
In the two-day tournament, 550 players competed in 22 different events, according to Prayagpokhari coach Vikas Maharjan.
