Former winners Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city and Rapti rural municipality will compete for the second Ghorahi Gold Cup football title in Ghorahi.

In the first semi-final at Ghorahi 18 Nawalpur football ground on Tuesday, Rapti defeated Tulsipur sub-metropolitan team by 3-0 goals to reach the final. In the second semi-final, host Ghorahi beat Gadhwa Rural Municipality 5-1.

In the semi-final, Suraj Sarki scored two goals while Bhupendra Karki scored 1 goal from Rapti. Bhupendra scored a goal within 5 minutes of the start of the game when Rapti counter-attacked and the defense and the goalkeeper did not coordinate and took a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Rapti added two more goals. In the 61st minute of the game, when the goalkeeper could not control the ball in the penalty box, Suraj hit the ball into the net. Suraj also scored the third goal in the 77th minute of the game. After Suraj, who entered the field as a substitute player, scored two consecutive goals, Rapti's journey to the final became easy.  

In the second semi-final, Ghorahi, the former winner, took a 2-0 lead in the first half and scored 1 goal in the second half. In the 30th minute of the first half, Pramod Budha took the lead. Sushil Baniyan scored another goal in the 37th minute of the game. In the 61st minute of the

game, Vikram Gharti scored and Sushil Baniyan added another goal in the 84th minute. In the injury time of the game, Bikram Gharti scored another goal to reach 5 goals, while Shiv Kumal of Garhwa scored a goal in the 78th minute of the second half.

Former winners Ghorahi and Rapti Rural Municipality will compete for the title on Wednesday, Ghorahi City Sports Development Committee Coordinator Narendra Pun informed.

The winner will win a trophy with 150,000 and the runner-up will win 80,000.
