A 'Women's Legend Series' is being held in Rupandehi among former women cricket players. Former women's cricketer Bhairahawa has come from all over the country for the first series of Nepal to be held at Siddharth Cricket Ground for two days today and tomorrow.
Competition coordinator Neetu Thapa said that two teams of former national and international women players will be played.
'Pre-national and international women players who played in 2007 and 2009 will compete in the tournament', she said, 'After 17 years, we players are going to gather in the same field and play a friendly game . A team of 2007 national team players Neri Thapa Magar, Neetu Thapa, Nira Raj Upadhyay, Maya Rawat, Madhu Thapa, Saraswati Lamgade, Binu Budha Magar, Sushmita Chaudhary, Ambika, Trishna Singh, Mamta Thapa, Jyoti Kunwar has been formed to participate in the series to be played in
T-20 format.
Similarly, another team of Ritu Kanaujia, Sonu Khadka, Shobha Ale, Rosy Joshi, Saraswati Chaudhary, Khinakumari Thapa, Rosy Kadari, Sita Shahi, Neema Maharjan, Karuna Bhandari has been formed from the 2009 team. She also informed that some disabled players will be made to participate at the local level.
