In the 15th Jitpur Simra Gold Cup tournament held at Simra Stadium on Sunday, Machindra Football Club has entered the semi-finals by defeating former winners Nepal Police Club.

Machindra has decided the trip to the last four by withdrawing in the tiebreaker. Goalkeeper Vishal Sunar played a key role in the victory of Machindra, who entered the semi-finals. Vishal, who became the man of the match, thwarted the last important attack of the police in the tiebreaker and gave Machindra a 4-3 goal difference.  In the

tiebreaker, goalkeeper Vishal Sunar, Vipan Shrestha, Ashim Gurung and Pujan Shrestha scored goals for Machindra, while Vivek Rai's shot went beyond the goal post.

Goalkeeper Amit Tamata, Poojan Rai and captain Man Bahadur Pariyar had the opportunity to score for the police. Police's Vivek Pandey's shot went beyond the goal post, while Arun Gaha's shot was punched out by Machindra's goalkeeper.

The departmental team of Nepal Police was separated from the competition because they could not protect the initial lead made in the 90-minute match scheduled earlier.

Police took the lead at the beginning of the second half with Vivek Pandey's free-kick goal. Police received a free kick after Machindra's Regin Subba fouled Police's Prajwal Chaudhary outside the box. A free-kick by Vivek Pandey from about 25 yards away was directly converted into a goal.  Machindra made a great comeback in the 61st minute of the

game and turned the game in his favor. Rajiv Lopchan turned the short pass given by Anil Ranamgar into a goal after controlling Arun Gaha's shot inside the police box.

In the 17th minute of the game, Arun Gaha of Police's best shot was saved from the goal line by Machchindra's defender Ashish Shrestha. Machindra's goalkeeper Vishal Sunar saved an attractive shot made by Anup Limbu by punching it. When the goal post was empty, Arun Gaha's shot on the rebound ball was cleared from the goal line by Machchindra defender Ashish Shrestha through heading.  In the 75th minute of the

game, Machindra's Anil Khadka missed an attractive opportunity. Police goalkeeper Amit Tamata made an excellent save on Khadka's cross from Anil Ranamar. In the 79th minute of the

game, Machindra's goalkeeper was able to save the powerful shot of Police's Pravin Thapa. Bikas Vick blocked Man Bahadur Pariyar's free-kick and created an attractive opportunity for Praveen inside the box.

Machchindra's goalkeeper Vishal Sunar, who was declared Green Energy-Man of the Match, won the trophy with 10,000 cash. Himalayan Sherpa and Friends Club are facing each other in the last quarter-final on Monday.
