The team has been announced for the Lumbini state level T-20 cricket championship under the captaincy of Dev Khanal from Rupandehi. Rupandehi Cricket Association vice president Dheeraj Adhikari Chhetri has said that the selection committee has selected 14 players under the captaincy of Khanal.

The competition is being organized by the Provincial Sports Council, Lumbini Province from Monday at Deukhuri International and Gularia Cricket Ground, Ghorahi in Lamhi, Dang.

Selection committee coordinator Chhetri informed that the Rupandehi district level team has been selected based on the performance of the players so far. 11 districts except Rukum East are participating in the competition.

Group 'A' of the tournament, which is going to be divided into two groups, consists of Banke, Rupandehi, Paschim Nawalparasi, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi and Bardia. Similarly, Group B includes teams from Palpa, Dang, Rolpa, Pyuthan and Kapilvastu districts.

Rupandehi will play the first match against Paschim Nawalparasi in Lamhi on Monday in the tournament that will run from 25th to 28th of Chaitra.
