Delhi Capitals have secured their third consecutive victory in Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket. KL Rahul's half-century inspired Delhi to beat Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs at the same ground on Saturday. Delhi beat Chennai in Chepauk for the first time in 15 years.

After opener Rahul scored 77 runs off 51 balls, Delhi lost 6 wickets  Scored 183 runs. Player of the match Rahul hit 6 fours and 3 sixes. Another opener, Jack Fraser McGurk, was dismissed for a wicket in the first over, but Rahul pulled through the innings.

Supporting him, Abhishek Porel scored 33 off 20 balls with 4 fours and 1 six, Axar Patel scored 21 off 14 balls with 2 fours and 1 six, Samir Rizvi scored 20 off 15 balls and Tristan Stubbs scored 24 unbeaten runs off 12 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. From Chennai, Khalil Ahmed took 2 wickets, Ravindra Jadeja, Noor Ahmed and Mathisa Pathirana took 1 wicket each. 

In the previous matches, the former captain of Chennai, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, had a complaint that the results were affected because he played less ball. But even in the 11th over on Saturday, there was no change in Chennai's result and the team lost for the third consecutive game. 

Unbeaten Vijay Shankar and Dhoni could not make the necessary runs per over, Chennai lost 5 wickets and made only 158 runs. Vijay scored 69 runs off 54 balls and Dhoni scored only 30 runs off 26 balls. Vijay hit 5 fours and 1 six and Dhoni hit the same 1 four and six. Rachin Ravindra 3, Devon Conway 13 off 14 balls, captain Rituraj Gaikwad 5, Shivam Duve 18 and Jadeja 2 runs out. Delhi's Vipraj Nigam took 2 wickets.

Punjab's first loss 

Mullanpur - Like Delhi, Punjab Kings, who won the first two matches, were defeated by 50 runs by Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. After suffering their first loss in the third game, Punjab has dropped to the fourth position. After losing the first two matches, Rajasthan won the next two matches and climbed to seventh place. 

Having got a target of 206 runs, Punjab could score only 155 runs by losing 9 wickets. Jofra Archer bowled Priyansh Arya on the first ball of the innings. Then the captain Shreyas Iyer hit 2 fours in Archer's over. But in the last ball of the same over, Archer bowled Ayer for 10 runs. 

Sandeep Sharma cuts and bowls Marcus Stoinis for 1 run. Opener Pravasimran Singh was dismissed for 17 runs off 16 balls. Nehal Wadhera and Glenn Maxwell shared 88 runs for the fifth wicket to give Punjab hope. Maxwell was dismissed by Mahesh Thiksana for 30 runs. Maxwell hit 3 fours and 1 six in 21 balls. 

Wadhera scored the highest 62 runs. He played 41 balls and hit 4 fours and 3 sixes. Archer took 3 wickets from Rajasthan. He spent only 25 runs in 4 overs for that. Sandeep took 21 wickets in 4 overs and Thiksana took 2-2 wickets after spending only 26 runs in 4 overs. Kumar Karthikeya and Wanindu Hasaranga had 1 wicket each. 

Rajasthan, who lost the toss and batted first, lost 4 wickets and scored 250 runs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 67 runs off 45 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten 38 off 26 balls, Rian Parag scored an unbeaten 43 off 25 balls, Nitish Rana scored 12 runs off 12 balls, Simran Hetmyer scored 20 off 12 balls and Dhruv Jirel scored an unbeaten 13 runs off 5 balls. For Punjab, Lucky Ferguson took 2 wickets, Ashardeep Singh and Marco Jansen took 1 wicket each.
