Palpa has won the title of the Chief Minister's Cup state-level women's volleyball tournament-2081 held in Ghorahi. In the final match on Saturday, Palpa won the title by defeating Rupandehi 3-2.
Palpa won the title with 19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-20 and 15-8 points in the title fight under the competition held at Ghorahi-15 Shahid Mancha organized by Provincial Sports Council, Lumbini. In the final match in the presence of a large audience, the results of the five-set match were revealed, and the players also presented their playing skills.
In a very competitive game, Palpa won all the matches of the league stage from Group B and won the title undefeated in the competition. Rupandehi in group 'D' also came close to the title and rested their undefeated journey and settled for runner-up. Palpa, who won the title of the competition, received a shield, medal and certificate along with one lakh in cash. Rupandehi, who became the runner-up, was satisfied with 65,000 cash, shield, trophy and certificate. Palpa's captain Gina Rana has been declared the best player of the
tournament. She played an excellent game to give Palpa the title. She received a certificate with cash of 10,000. Based on the games played throughout the

Palpa's Dumisara Tharu was declared as the best server, Palpa's Durgasara Gaha was declared as the best defender and Palpa's Binita Rana was declared as the best blocker. Certificates were given to three people along with five thousand in cash each.
Likewise, Dang's Sita Vick and Rupandehi's Richa Thapa were declared the best setter of the tournament. They were also given a certificate along with cash of 5,000.
Earlier in the match for the third place on Saturday, Rolpa beat Banke by 3-1 sets and Banke got the consolation. Rolpa beat Banke with 25-23, 25-9, 24-26 and 25-18 points and came third in the tournament.
Earlier, in the first semi-final, Rolpa was defeated by Palpa in a set of 3-1, while in the second semi-final, he was defeated by Banke Rupandehi in a set of 3-2. Banke who played from group 'C' defeated Pyuthan, Kapilvastu, Rukum East and reached the semi-finals while Rolpa played from group 'A'. Rukumpurva, Gulmi and Kapilvastu reached the semi-finals.
Rolpa, who came third, received a medal, trophy and certificate along with cash 35,000. Tiran Gautam, Member-Secretary of Provincial Sports Council informed that female volleyball players from all 12 districts of Lumbini, including Dang, participated in the
competition. Gautam said that state-level competitions have been organized to produce skilled female players and develop volleyball in the state, and players with good potential have emerged from this.
Ghorahi Deputy Metropolitan Municipality Chief Narulal Choudhary awarded prizes and certificates to the players of the winning and runner-up teams in the competition.
