Bhimnarayan Gold Cup Final Today: Gaighat and Namobuddha Saptari clash for the title

Gaighat Football Club Udaipur and Namobuddha Football Club Saptari are going to meet today (Saturday) for the 17th edition of Sahid Bhimnarayan Gold Cup in Dhankuta.

During the 17 years of Bhimnarayan Gold Cup, these two teams met for the first time. Both the teams will fight for the title defense in the afternoon competition in the Lower Tundikhel . Both the teams have decided to travel to the final by defeating the contenders who have won the title in the previous competition. 

Namobuddha Football Club defeated the defending champion Birthamod United Club in the semi-finals and entered the final. Similarly, the departmental team shocked the APF football club and Gaighat football club came close to the title . It is said that the final competition of both the teams, who have performed excellent games in the previous quarter and semi-finals, will be interesting. 

The organizers said that the number of spectators watching the final match could increase as there were packed spectators even in the previous matches. Since the previous edition, the audience has been arranged to watch the game for free. Match Commissioner Govind Rai said that Dhankuta Municipality has provided 3 lakh rupees for all spectators to watch the match for free. Similarly, he informed that the Dhankuta municipality has provided ten lakh rupees for conducting the competition. The winner of the

competition will receive a cash prize of 5 lakhs and the runner-up will receive a trophy medal, cup and certificate along with 250,000 rupees. Similarly, the highest scorer, man of the match and best player will also get cash prizes.
