Gaighat Football Club defeated the departmental team APF Football Club 2-1 on Friday and decided the final of the 17 Ouncehid Bhimnarayan Gold Cup football tournament.
APF took the lead by scoring in the first minute of the match against Gaighat in the semi-finals of Dhankuta-5 in the Lower Tundikhel on Friday. APF's Yuvraj Khadka scored the goal. Gaighat, who was under pressure with his goal, could not score a goal until the first half.
Kismet Limbu scored a goal in the 60th minute from Gaighat, who took the field with a very aggressive strategy after the interval. His hard shot from near the post turned into a goal. Gaighat controlled the ball for most of the time after the interval. In the 70th minute of the second half, Fofona, a foreign player from Gaighat, scored a great goal and gave the team the lead. His goal became decisive. Fofana of Gaighat became the man of the match.
