Pushpa Sherma of Panchthar Miklajung has won the women's mini marathon held on the occasion of the 2nd Phalelung Mahotsav organized in Phalelung Rural Municipality of Panchthar.
Pushpa won the title by completing the prescribed 10 km distance of the competition held at Sirlingitar, the confluence of Ward No. 3 and 4, in 1 hour and 9 minutes.
In the competition held at a height of 3,300 meters above sea level, Sarla Rai of Phalelung-6 came second and Renuka Rai of Phalelung-4 came third. Sarla completed the race in 1 hour 17 minutes and Renuka in 1 hour 18 minutes. The
winner received Rs 20,000, second runner-up Rs 10,000 and third runner-up Rs 5,000. Eighteen players competed in the competition. The race was organized by the Three Borders Public Service Society with the support of Phalelung Village.
