National Men's Rugby Fifteens Championship will be held this March. The 4th National Fifteens Championship organized by Nepal Rugby Association will be held from Chait 27 to Baisakh 2 at Chasal Stadium in Lalitpur.

The association held a press conference on Friday and three departmental teams Tribhuvan Army, Nepal Police, APF Club and Gorkhali Rugby Club will participate in the National Fiveteens Rugby Tournament with the participation of foreign referees. The game will be played on a round robin basis.

Association General Secretary Gobind Ghimire said that compared to Rugby Sevens, only the best players compete technically in the Phipptins, so only Gorkhali, an old club in the history of Nepali rugby, was included in the three departments.

Senior Vice President Chetanraj Giri informed that only a certain age group and players who have been used to it for a long time will be comfortable playing this type of game. That is why he said that foreign judges were invited to the competition. Priyantha Gunaratne of Sri Lanka will be the main judge. The match referee is Suranga Aruna from Sri Lanka. Prem Bahadur Koirala will stay from Nepal. The general secretary of the association, Ghimire, said that the Philippine Rugby Club has been training closed for a month for the

competition. The association had kept the trophy of this competition as a running shield since the previous year. Last year's winner is Gorkhali Rugby Club. According to the association, an amount of 300,000 has been provided to all four participating clubs including insurance and health management for preparation and competition. The

winner will win a running shield with 222,222 rupees. The runner-up will receive 1 lakh 11 thousand 111 rupees. The best player will get a trophy with 15,000.

From this, the Nepali team will be prepared for the Nepal-Bangladesh international rugby series to be held in Nepal from May 20 to 22.
