Krapu Marathon title to Army's Rawat

Narendrasingh Rawat of Nepal Army has won the title of Krapu Marathon held for the first time. Rawat won the 24 km marathon organized by Tangting Youth Club from Pokhara Metropolitan City-13 Kahunkhola to Madi Rural Municipality-2 Tangting on Friday.

Club president Himal Gurung informed that he completed the set distance in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Rawat received Rs 40,000 and a medal award. Army runners dominated the winners of the
marathon. President Gurung informed that 5 of the best 7 runners belong to the Army. Army's Srikosh Rai finished second after completing the prescribed distance in 1 hour 46 minutes 30 seconds. He got Rs 30,000 and a medal.

Dal Bahadur Kunwar of Jumla was third and Mankumar Rokamagar of Rolpa was fourth. Kunwar completed the distance in 1 hour 48 minutes 35 seconds and Magar in 1 hour 50 minutes 30 seconds. Kunwar got a medal with Rs 20,000 and Magar got Rs 10,000.

Army's Subhas Karki was fifth, Govind Karki was sixth and Rikulal Sinjali was seventh. Subas completed the distance in 1 hour 51 minutes 30 seconds, Govind in 1 hour 53 minutes 30 seconds and Rikulal in 1 hour 55 minutes 10 seconds. They received medals with Rs 8,000, Rs 6,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. 87 runners participated in the

marathon. On the occasion of the 31st Chait Mela, Tangting Youth Club has organized a marathon in the name of Krapu Danda, a tourist destination of the village.
