A soccer game needs goals to be exciting. No matter how much you attack, if it ends at that point, where is the fun of the game? When Kathmandu Razors and Jhapa FC met on Thursday in the Nepal Super League (NSL), the story of this match continued like this.

The essence of the whole game remained, both teams attacked, but nothing could be more than a missed chance. So it was just a dull game. Equality will only disadvantage both, not advantage.

This was Kathmandu's second consecutive draw. Head coach Patrick de Weide had a different opinion about the whole game. In his opinion, from Kathmandu's team point of view, the game was good, the level was fun. He is also happy with the performance of his players. His claim was, "How can I tell my players that the game was boring if it was a goalless draw?" Coach doesn't say that. For us, keeping a clean sheet is also an achievement.

coach Wide believes that there are such goalless draws in football and we should be able to accept it. He doesn't believe there is pressure on his team. "Our focus should be on the next four games," says Baru. Now the matches will be continuous and the players will not even get a chance to rest. How to prepare the team in such a situation is the main issue.

After this game, Kathmandu is limited to 2 points and is in fourth place. Jhapa has 2 points and is in fifth place. Even Jhapa did not score any goals in both the matches. "Not being able to score is a problem," Jhapa coach Pravesh Kutwal said, "We need a goal in the next game."

He also believed that a tie means losing points, there is no point in settling for one point. The number of consecutive games in which Jhapa failed to score has reached three, including the previous edition. This is the fifth game in which Jhapa played a goalless draw.  In terms of scoring

goals, Jhapa is a stingy team in the entire tournament. So far, Jhapa has managed to score in only three of the 10 matches they have played, and they have not scored any goals in the remaining seven matches. This habit of the team is sure to end up costing itself this time as well. Based on minutes, Jhapa has not scored 193 minutes. It will be interesting to see how coach Katuwal will solve this problem.

He has two arguments behind this. First, there is no practice ground. Foreign players don't work hard in training because they don't have a good field. Apart from Satdobato, foreign players do not practice openly. The practice field has become the biggest problem of the competition.'

He presented another argument and questioned the quality of the referee. He said, "I played football for more than 20 years, I know when a penalty decision is made." But our referee does not make such a decision even on the occasion of a certain penalty.'

Pokhara officials in action

Pokhara Thunders and team officials were finally taken into action on Thursday. Sundar Thapa, who assaulted the referee and other officials in the NSL match on Wednesday, has been banned from entering Dashrath Stadium for the entire duration of the tournament.

Along with Thapa, assistant coach Deepak Shrestha got into controversy and fight after the decision of the goal was not in his favor in the match against Lalitpur City FC. Pokhara's Navyug Shrestha's shot was blocked by Lalitpur's goalkeeper Geoffrey Willi. Pokhara claimed that the ball crossed the goal line. Deepak has been banned for two matches.

Pokhara has also been fined 50,000 rupees for breaking discipline and failing to demonstrate sportsmanship. The Disciplinary Committee of the competition has said that it is conducting further investigation into the entire incident and further action may be taken if more facts are found. Pokhara was defeated in the match. It was the team's second straight loss.
