In the 17th edition of Sahid Bhimnarayan Gold Cup today (Tuesday), Jhapa's Birtamod and Chitlang Football Club Kathmandu will face each other.

Defending champions Birtamod United Jhapa and Chitlang Football Club of Kathmandu are both going to compete for the semi-final trip.

Shahid Bhimnarayan Memorial Foundation, Dhankuta, has been playing games since Sunday in Lower Tundikhel. Saptari's Namobuddha Youth Club secured the place by winning the first day's match. Similarly, on the second day, Gaighat defeated Boys' Football Club Itahari and has set the semi-final journey. 

The departmental team APF and Belbari Football Club will meet on Wednesday for the semi-finals. After that, the quarterfinal match will be held. 

The organizer Shahid Bhimnarayan Smriti Dhankuta was out of the competition from the first day's match. 

The winner will get a cash prize of 5 lakh and the runner-up will get a trophy medal, cup and certificate along with 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees. Similarly, the highest scorer, man of the match and best player will also get cash prizes.
