Lalitpur coach Simon Grayson rightly said, 'That's what happens in football.' The opening match of the Nepal Super League (NSL) started early on Saturday, and Lalitpur City FC won the game comfortably. But nothing like that happened.

On the contrary, defending champion Lalitpur was held to a 2-2 draw by Kathmandu Razors. Kathmandu has made an excellent comeback. But, it must have taken time for the team, should we have won?

So in a sense Lalitpur is sad, they had to win three, they had to settle for one point. In other words, if there is anything interesting, you get 1 point, otherwise there is a possibility of losing.

"Kathmandu are a good team, so they were bound to put up a strong challenge," coach Grayson didn't like to complain too much and answered honestly. It was a really natural outcome for him. It became a situation where both teams should be happy with a draw.

Kathmandu's coach Patrick de Waid claimed that his team played well in the second half. Because the team scored two goals. He said, 'Our comeback is real, it's not just a coincidence.' So probably Kathmandu should be a little more happy with this draw. "The game itself was great," Wide added.

This match at the Dasharath Stadium definitely indicated one fact. The football produced by this tournament will be of a high standard and exciting as well. There were 10 foreign players on the field when the match started. The way they were trying to control the ball was a bit classy. There was sweetness in the 'vibes' the game was giving off. More than expected number of spectators were present to see the colorfulness presented by the colorful Dasharath Stadium.

suicide goal? The first goal of the

game came in the fifth minute, when Jonathan Eduardo's shot from a corner hit the post from a zero angle. His shot went straight into the post itself, just past Kamal Shrestha. It was probably an own goal. But the Palestinian player born in Chile got the credit for it. Just 15 minutes into the game, Aditya Shakya added the second goal for Lalitpur. Aditya turned a pass from Iko Ezekiel into a goal on the

rebound. Kathmandu scored in the 75th minute to turn the tide of the game. This goal went to Amadou Diop. He scored a goal with a powerful shot on the pass of Gelespiejung Karki. In the fifth minute of the injury time of the second half, the French player Vincent Kozillo scored from a penalty and the game was equalized. His strike itself was the epitome of a fine penalty.

Yogesh Gurung of Lalitpur fought Kojilo himself. It was not difficult for the referee Umesh Bidari to give the penalty decision. Throughout the match, both teams weaved a few such attacks, in which there was a good chance of a goal. By coincidence, Lalitpur and Kathmandu are the two previous winners of the tournament. Even the most successful team in that sense. It was the fifth match between them, but it was the first time that it ended in a draw. This result was acceptable to both teams.
