A volleyball festival will be held in Dhankuta from May 5 to 20 with the aim of awakening the game of volleyball and encouraging new players.

District Volleyball Association Dhankuta informed about the volleyball festival through a press conference. Gaurav Karki, president of the association, said that the ward-level men's volleyball and local-level women's volleyball competitions will be held at Lower Tundikhel in Dhankuta Municipality-5.

He said that all 60 ward teams will participate in ward-level men's volleyball and 7 local-level teams of Dhankuta will participate in municipal-level women's volleyball. "We are going to celebrate because the players are not produced," Karki said, "After the festival, players will be selected from the ward level and they will be trained in closed training." There will be a local product exhibition and cultural program in the festival.
