Koshi Province has given a target of 255 runs to the departmental team APF Club in the Prime Minister's Cup Men's National Cricket Tournament.

Koshi, who won the toss and batted first at Siddharth Stadium in Bhairahawa on Wednesday, lost all the wickets in the scheduled over and made a total of 254 runs. Shakib Haque contributed the highest 68 runs for Koshi.

He hit 11 fours off 63 balls and got out lbw off Amar Rautela. Captain Ankit Subedi scored 35 runs, Ash Bhattarai scored 34 runs, Sujan Thapalia scored 33 runs, opener Chiraj Sah scored 24 runs and Dipesh Kadel scored 12 runs.

Other players could not score runs in double figures. In bowling, Abhishek Gautam and Mausam Dhakal took 3/3 wickets each for APF. Gautam bowled 10 overs and scored 49 and Dhakal scored 51 runs.

Captain Rohit Paudel took 2 wickets for 33 runs in 10 overs with 2 maidens. Irshad Ahmed proved to be expensive. He took one wicket for 56 runs in 10 overs. Amar Rautela has one wicket left. 

APF will now bat in reply in a while. APF is third in the table with 12 points from 8 matches. Koshi's score is at the bottom of the table.

Defeated in seven of the previous eight, Koshi has only 2 points. The title journey of Koshi region has ended. Nepal Police Club is undefeated and has entered the finals. Police are at the top of the table with 16 points.

Police will compete against another departmental team, Tribhuvan Army Club, in the last match of the league stage on Thursday. Army is second in the table with 14 points. One team from Army and APF will reach the finals.
