The semifinals of the inter-municipal Mayor's Cup women's and men's volleyball competition, which is being held at the covered hall of Javalakhel Volleyball Training Center, has been completed.

On the women's side, Mahalakshmi Municipality defeated Dupcheswar Rural Municipality in 2-1 sets. After losing the first set by 18-25, Mahalakshmi then won the set by 25-22, 15-9 and made it to the semi-finals.

In the next match, the host Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality defeated Bigu Rural Municipality with the scores of 25-14, 22-25, 15-12. Mahalakshmi will face Bigu Rural Municipality and Lalitpur Mahanagar will face Neelkanth Municipality in the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on Wednesday.

In the men's semi-final, Mailung Rural Municipality will play against Mahankal Rural Municipality, while the other semi-final will be against Manthali Municipality of Lalitpur Mahanagara A. Ramechhap.

On Tuesday, Lalitpur defeated Manthali 'B' in the set of 25-19, 21-25, 25-13, 25-15 and decided the semi-final. In the next match, Manthali 'B' defeated Dupcheswar Rural Municipality by 25-18, 18-25, 25-19, 25-27, 15-13 in a competitive match.
