Nepal Super League (NSL) trophy has been unveiled in Pokhara. The trophy, which is being displayed in major cities of the country, was unveiled at the Pokhara Stadium on Saturday by Minister of Social Development, Youth and Sports of Gandaki Province, Vindukumar Thapa.
Minister Thapa said that after the construction of the physical infrastructure of the Pokhara Stadium, Gandaki has contributed to the sports activities. He said that only if sports and tourism can be connected, Pokhara will benefit economically. Under the management of team Pokhara Thunders FC participating in the
competition, the trophy will be displayed at 8 places in Pokhara until Saturday evening. Pokhara Thunders FC manager Ghanshyam Thap informed that the trophy will be displayed at Bindhyavasini Temple, Pumdikot Shiva Temple, Shanti Stupa, Phewatal, Pokhara Rangshala, Prithvi Chowk, Begnas Lake and Ncell Center at Srijan Chowk.
After unveiling and performing in Dhangadhi, Butwal, Jhapa, Chitwan, the trophy was brought to Pokhara. After Pokhara, the trophy will be displayed in Lalitpur and Kathmandu. The third edition of Nepal Super League will be held at Dasharath Stadium from Chait 16 to Baisakh 13.
7 teams namely Lalitpur City FC, Kathmandu Razors, Jhapa FC, FC Chitwan, Pokhara Thunders, Butwal-Lumbini FC and Dhangadhi FC will play the third edition . The first edition of the league was won by Lalitpur City FC and the second edition by Kathmandu Razors. The title winner will be the opening match of the third edition between the 2 teams.
