The 18th Special General Assembly of Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) held on Wednesday has granted full voting rights to five associations. Nepal Modern Pentathlon Association, Nepal Baseball and Softball Association, Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association, Nepal Equestrian Association and Nepal Rugby Association are among those who got membership after the meeting held through online 'Zoom'.
Earlier, 27 National Sports Associations were affiliated with NOC. A special general meeting was held on February 27 at the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) headquarters in Kuwait according to the two-point agreement.
The headquarters of NOC in Satdobato was locked by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, NOC said that the meeting was held via Zoom. OCA gave permission for that. Deputy Director General Vinod Tiwari participated as an observer in the special general meeting as a representative of OCA.
Meanwhile, OCA Director General Hussain Al Muslim has written a letter to Ravi Rajakarnikar, President of the Equestrian Association, warning him not to create confusion regarding the developments so far.
