With Kushal Bhurtel's all-round performance, the departmental team Nepal Police Club defeated Bagmati Province in the Prime Minister's Cup One Day Men's National Cricket Tournament held in Rupandehi.

Title contenders Police defeated Bagmati Pradesh by 93 runs in the match on Thursday at the Extratech Oval ground in Tilottma. The police club is heading towards the final after winning the seventh game in a row. 

Bagmati Province, chasing the target of 298 runs given by the police for victory, was bowled out for 204 runs in 45.2 overs. Isaan Pandey played a half-century of 70 runs for Bagmati. Pandey hit 6 fours in 98 balls. Shubh Kansakar scored 36 runs, Vipij Acharya scored 20 runs, Surya Tamang scored 17 runs, and Pratish GC scored 14 runs. Captain Prithu Baskota was dismissed for 11 runs. Police's Lalit Rajwanshi bowled hard and took the most four wickets. Kushal Bhurtel took 3 wickets and Karan KC took 2 wickets. One wicket remained in the name of Gulsan Jha .

Before that, Nepal Police Club, who won the toss and batted first, lost 8 wickets in the scheduled over and prepared a high total of 297 runs. Opener Kushal Bhurtel became the hero in Police's win. Bhurtel contributed the most 88 runs. Bhurtel, who faced 98 balls, hit 11 fours. He was declared the player of the match . 

Captain Dipendra Singh Airi played a half-century innings of 60 runs. Airy hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in 46 balls. Similarly, Amit Shrestha scored 48, Arif Sheikh scored 38, Gulsan Jha scored 16 while Dilip Nath was dismissed for 10 runs. In bowling, Pratish GC took 3 wickets for Bagmati. GC spent 46 runs in 10 overs. Rijan Dhakal, Isaan Pandey, Sakar Gajurel and Vipij Acharya got one wicket each. With this result, unbeaten Police remain at the top of the table with 14 points. Another departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club is in the second position with 10 points.
