Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has claimed that the construction of parapit and floodlights at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur will be completed by May 24.

Singh, who went to inspect the under-construction ground on Thursday, said that the construction company has a deadline of May 24 and they are working at a fast pace to complete the work on time. Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary also expressed the belief that the government decided to build a cricket ground in the first meeting of the Council of Ministers and that the work will be completed on time. He said that the work was being done in three shifts and requested that the construction be completed on time.

There is a plan to install a parapit with a capacity of 10,000 seats and 6 flood lights by May 24, 2082. Separate contracts have been awarded for the construction of flood lights and parapets.
