The logo and mascot of the 10th National Games to be held in Karnali province in May has been re-released. The date of National Games 2082 has been fixed from May 3 to 10.
In an event held at the International Sports Complex in Satdobato, the President of the National Sports Council (Rakhep) Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary unveiled the logo and the Vice Chairman of the Rakhep Dhruv Acharya the mascot. When the
date was fixed in November, the logo and mascot were also released in Karnali province on the occasion of the 100-day countdown. Rakhep Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising released the dedicated website of the 10th National Games. A player online registration software video was shown to provide information on how to register online for players, coaches, managers, officials, etc. participating in the national sports. An animated video prepared with themes including the national sports logo and mascot was also shown. The
logo includes the Karnali River, Nepal's flag, seven provinces and players, mountains, hills and plains, and a pigeon symbolizing peace. Habre (Red Panda), a rare animal found in Karnali province, has been used as a mascot. The logo and mascot were developed by Vikas Tamkhu.
Minister Choudhary has thanked Karnali Province for the excellent infrastructure prepared for national sports. He asked the National Sports Association to work with the interest of the players and the game at the center and emphasized that all should unite to make the national sports grand, keeping in mind the desire of the players to show their talent.
Vice President Acharya said that national sports are a means of finding talent. Member-Secretary Ghising emphasized that since the athletes participating in the national sports are enthusiastic, all the stakeholders should work together to create an environment where the athletes can play.
