Jawalakhel Wheelchair Sports Club (GWSC) and Tribhuvan Army Club won the title of the valley club level wheelchair basketball tournament on Tuesday.

Under the organization of Nepal Spinal Cord and Injury Sports Association, in the finals held at the National Sports Council (Rakhep) Covered Hall in Tripureshwar, women's javlakhel and men's army became champions. Both teams won the same 50 thousand rupees.  

Jawalakhel defeated the Wheelchair Sports Association with a score of 24-23. Rajni Rai scored the highest score of 14 to make Jawalakhel the champion. She was declared the highest scorer and won three thousand.

In the men's departmental 'derby', Army defeated APF with a score of 43-41 and became the Army champion. In a very exciting final, the scheduled match was tied 39-39. Army scored 4 and APF scored 2 in three minutes extra time. Army won overall with 43 points. Army's Ramesh Khatri scored the highest score of 19. He got 3 thousand.

Tulsa Magar of Jawalakhel was declared the best player on the women's side. On the men's side, captain Ram Tamang was the best. Both players got 3 thousand.

Dhruv Acharya, Vice President of Rakhep, Bhimsingh Gurung, President of Nepal Basketball Association, Devi Acharya, President of NSCISA, etc. gave prizes to the winning team.
