Indian team Penoris 11 won the title of Indo-Nepal T20 cricket tournament on Monday. Penoris beat Thunders 11 by 7 wickets in the final at the Saraswati Mavi ground in Mechinagar-4 Bahundangi.
Thunders won the toss and scored only 91 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Rajwanshi scored 19 runs, Ayush Neupane scored 14 runs and Ashiq Rana Magar scored 13 runs. Rakesh Roy, Sunil Ghosh, Bonomali Roy and Acharal Pradhan of Penoris took 2 wickets each. Penoris completed the modest target of 92 runs in 9.5 overs for 3 wickets. Opener duo Shubhankar Devnath and Kanchan Upreti scored half-centuries.
Shubhankar added 52 runs and Kanchan added 15 runs. Shiv Rajvanshi of Thunders took 2 wickets and Virat Dangi took 1 wicket. Man of the match was Shubhankar. The winner got 50,000 and the runner-up got 30,000. Rohit Rajvanshi of Thunders, who took 7 wickets and scored 78 runs, became the man of the series. He got 5 thousand. Bahundangi Youth Club has organized a competition to build a cricket academy.
