Prime Minister's Cup: Police gave Sudurpaschim a target of 161 runs

The departmental team Nepal Police Club has set a target of 161 runs to Sudurpaschim Province in the Prime Minister's Cup One Day Men's National Cricket Tournament.

After winning the toss and batting first at Siddharth Stadium in Bhairahawa on Monday, Police lost all wickets in 47 overs and were reduced to 160 runs.  Captain Dipendra Singh Airi contributed the most 42 runs for

police. Airy hit 5 fours in 47 balls. Arif Sheikh scored 40, Dilip Nath scored 19, Amit Shrestha scored 18 and Sagar Dhakal scored 22. 

opener Arjun Saud scored 2 runs and Gulsan Jha scored 1 run, Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed without scoring a run. Lalit Rajwanshi, who entered the field last, contributed 4 runs.  In

bowling, Sourya Shrestha of Sudurpaschim alone took four wickets. He spent 43 runs keeping a maiden in 10 overs. Bhojraj Bhatt took 3 wickets and Sher Mall took 2 wickets while Hemant Dhami took one wicket. 

The unbeaten police are at the top of the points table. Police have won 8 points in the previous four matches. Sudurpaschim is at the bottom of the table with 2 points after winning one of the previous four matches and losing three matches. Teams from seven provinces including three departmental teams Tribhuvan Army, APF and Nepal Police Club are participating in the competition.
